The Guest of Honour project was a perfect opportunity to revitalize the contact between Norway and Germany through joint literary and cultural projects. A year ago in Oslo the German-Norwegian literature festival "On the way to Frankfurt" Tysk-norsk litteraturfestival took place. Here is a throwback to a fantastic weekend in April!

More than 90 authors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland came to Norway to talk about their book with their Norwegian colleagues at the House of Literature in Oslo.

70 readings, discussions and copnversations took place during the three days of the festival. This was the first time so many German speaking authors attended a literaty festival at once in Norway.

Some of the guests were: Melinda Nadji Abonji, Hanne Ørstavik, Olga Grjasnowa, Judith Hermann, Jostein Gaarder, Elfriede Jelinek, Volker Kutscher, Erik Fosnes Hansen and Melanie Raabe, Christoph Ransmayr, Ferdinand von Schirach, Maria Kjos Fonn and Marlene Streeruwitz.
