The adaptation of Per Petterson’s novel "Out Stealing Horses" received the Silver Bear at Berlinale, and the short animation "Dad" based on a book by Svein Nyhus received a Special Mention.

Out Stealing Horses

Per Petterson’s Out Stealing Horses is one of the biggest international successes in Norwegian literature. The book has been translated into 50 languages. The film adaptation by Hans Petter Moland was part of the main competition at Berlinale and received the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution for Rasmus Videbæk’s cinematography.

The film had its world premiere at Berlinale, Saturday February 9. The day before we organised an event with Per Petterson and 20 German journalists and influencers in the home of Aslaug Nygård, the cultural attaché at the Norwegian Embassy in Berlin.

Dad

The short animation Dad, based on a book by Svein Nyhus, received a Special Mention from the international jury for the Generation Kplus completion.
