International conference about the golden age of Norwegian literature at the German and European book market in the 19th century.
In cooperation with the Centre for Ibsen Studies at the University of Oslo, the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main organises the symposium “The Golden Age of Norwegian Literature and the European Book Industry” October 14-15, 2019.
The papers will focus on the dissemination of nineteenth century Norwegian Literature on the European mainland, especially Germany, and examine how this literature was embedded in different social and cultural contexts and literary practices at the time.
No registration is necessary, the conference is open to anyone interested in the subject.
Conference language will be English.
