A warm welcome to the presentation of the machine that revolutionized freedom of expression, the mimoegraph! In hall 5.0, B36 at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Alt Går Bra. Le Grand Mètre (after Cejar). 2019. Mimeograph and print on paper, 60 x 140 x 3400 cm. Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Photo: Leon Foggitt.

Alt Går Bra develops a unique publishing practice, setting Norway at the forefront of alternative publishing.

Those who have never heard about the machine that revolutionized freedom of expression, will have the opportunity to learn about the mimeograph, a tool praised by Theodor Adorno and indispensable for the Beat Generation, the Situationist International, the Black Panthers, and many individuals and groups we admire today.

Alt Går Bra convened an international conference at the University of Westminster earlier this year followed by an invitation by the Victoria and Albert Museum to produce a large mimeograph installation last March. Alt Går Bra’s publishing practice will feature in the next issue of the INHA journal Perspective.

Alt Går Bra’s books and publications will be on display for visitors to see how these unusual mimeograph reproductions look and feel in their contemporary Norwegian version.

Visit them at the City of Bergen stand, hall 5.0, B36 !
